My biggest regret as a mom is not prioritizing newborn photos. We take so many with our phones and that’s fine, right? Mama, absolutely freakin’ not! These are just as much about documenting this fleeting, vulnerable time in your life as it is documenting every single perfect little wrinkle on your sweet smelling new babe. Becoming a family, growing a family is up there at the top of the must have list. After photographing newborns for 8 years, and having five of my own, I’ve gotten these sweet sessions down to a science. They are laid back and chill and so stress free, with built in-time for any snack breaks, diaper changes, or tears that might come our way. These are a family affair so while we focus on the newbie we also document siblings and the whole family. We snuggle, we play, we dance, we do all of your favorite slow weekend morning things. A true documentary experience of those first weeks at home.

Paige made the trip out to our home to take our family photos for us and I am completely obsessed. Her eye for detail and the way she captures families is just too good. She caught such beautiful moments for us and really encapsulated what our life looks like in this season - shots of Oliver climbing the fridge (a daily occurrence), his crazy laugh, and she actually got a shot of me and my husband that isnt awkward, ha!
